學校標識與文化精髓
一、學校標志
(一)校名標識字體：
“文華學院”（原華中科技大學文華學院）校名字體依據“華中科技大學”的字體而書，是仿毛澤東書法體，并進行了局部修飾，只有“文”字是用毛體筆劃重造的字。我們著意在繼承華中科技大學的光榮傳統和辦學理念，使“華中科技大學文華學院”字體文風保持一致。
校名標識字體“文華學院”， 這一毛體字組合，筆力遒勁，瀟灑大方，古樸典雅，既體現著學校深厚文化傳承和底蘊，又充滿生機活力。
1、中文仿毛體：“文華學院”（紅楓色）;
2、英文大寫：WEN HUA COLLEGE;
3、英文小寫：Wen hua college;
4、英文縮寫：WHC或WH

(二)校徽：校徽由我校師生自己構思、設計。校徽為藍底，字為白色與紅楓色相間，或純白色與紅楓色。上為英文名稱，下為文華學院標識字體，中間為文華學院漢語拼音的首位大寫字母“WH”。
寓意為：文思華彰、文心華采、文華灼灼、，預示著文華學院將不斷培養出文化底蘊深厚，有個性特色的高素質人才。

(三) 學校紀念時間：經教育部2003年5月26批準，由華中科技大學與武漢美聯地產有限公司合作舉辦華中科技大學文華學院（獨立學院）。建院之初，在東湖校區集中辦學。2004年8月，學校搬遷至武漢東湖新技術開發區。2014年5月16日，華中科技大學文華學院轉設更名為：文華學院。
(四) 學校標識主色調
藍色--寓意著文華人理想像天空一樣深遠，心胸像大海一樣寬廣。
紅楓色--寓意著文華學院像秋天的紅楓一樣，欣欣向榮，紅紅火火。
(五) 學校標識規范組合
1、校徽：白底與藍色、紅楓色組合成標準式樣或用純藍色或純紅楓色簡化式樣。
2、校名：用標準字體字樣，字用紅楓色或藍色。
3、校旗：用金黃色“文華學院”校名標識字體。（下載設計用圖 ）

Motto of Wenhua College:
Erudition and Aspiration, Endeavor and Enlightenment.
“博學篤志”bo xue dü zhi，語出《論語·子張篇》∶“博學而篤志，切問而近思，仁在其中矣。”“博學”意味著廣泛地吸取人類優秀文化，不斷開拓自己的思維與視野，擁有博大的胸懷和開放的心態;“篤志”則指樹立遠大的理想并堅守自己的志向。“博學篤志”，意在勉勵文華人要像海綿一樣汲取廣博的知識，積淀深厚的文化底蘊，從中挖掘自己的潛能并立下遠大的志向，然后一心—意堅守自己的志趣，實現人生理想。
“Erudition and Aspiration” comes out of The Analects of Confucius: People should be erudite and aspiring; people should inquire earnestly and ponder over the current situation. Being erudite means we should absorb extensively the excellent human culture, expand constantly our thinking and vision with a broad and open mind. Being aspiring means we should foster lofty ideal and keep firm aspiration. By quoting this, our college encourages the students to absorb knowledge extensively just like a sponge and accumulate profound culture, activate their own potential, set lofty ambition and then keep it wholeheartedly, so that they can finally realize their dreams.
“本立道生”ben li dao sheng，語出《論語·學而篇》:“君子務本，本立而道生。”意為君子要專注于做基礎的事情，基礎的事情做好了，“道”就會自然產生。
“Endeavor and Enlightenment” also comes out of The Analects. Originally, it means people should focus on cultivating the basic moral qualities. As long as such qualities are cultivated, people will naturally know the basic principles of governing a country. It also encourages people to focus on fundamental learning. As long as they grasp the basic knowledge and do the basic things well, they will naturally know what their aspiration is.
“篤志而體，君子也”(《荀子修身篇》），具有堅定意志并能付諸實踐的人，才是君子。
It is said in the Book of Xun Zi that “he who keeps lofty aspiration and pursues it always is a real gentleman”. It encourages us to be determined people of action.
“本立道生”，則是告誡文華人，擁有廣博的知識、樹立了遠大志向還不夠，還應從點點滴滴的小事做起，踏踏實實、一步一個腳印，通過不斷地努力和實踐，方能最終參悟做人與治學的道理與方法，修得君子的道德與人格，走上實現理想的光明道路。
By quoting “Endeavor and Enlightenment”, our college exhorts the students not only to have extensive knowledge and set lofty aspiration, but also practice every little thing with constant efforts, so that they can understand how to engage in scholarship and how to be virtuous people with a noble character so as to realize their dreams.
“博學篤志，本立道生”，二者既辯證統一，又層層增進，且與文華學院“育人為本，質量第一”的辦學宗旨和“以學生為中心”的核心教育理念契合一致。在廣博中專一，發現并挖掘自己的潛能;在專一中立志，樹立并堅守自己的遠大志向，把個人人生理想融入到國家發展和民族復興的偉業之中;然后腳踏實地，立好“本”，找到自己自由發展的空間，最終沿著“道”的指向，實現社會貢獻與個人發展的結合。
“Erudition and Aspiration, Endeavor and Enlightenment.” These two aspects are dialectically united and incremental. Moreover, they are consistent with our college’s aim of “focusing on educating students and putting education quality first” and its “students-centered” core education conception. Students should have extensive knowledge and meanwhile be professional in one field, finding and cultivating their own potential; they should set lofty aspiration in their professional field, converging their own aim with national development and rejuvenation; and then they should find their own space for development and do their own part steadfastly so as to achieve social contribution and personal development.
