Twin Cities Local Initiatives Support Corporation (LISC) is holding an invitation-only training for government partners and developers of mission-oriented projects in designated Opportunity Zones that have potential for social impact Opportunity Fund investments.
This hands-on training is designed to ignite local momentum for attracting Opportunity Zone equity investments to community-driven projects and increase the strength and capacity of the practitioner network.
Target outcomes are to:
- Learn how to screen potential project opportunities against eligibility
- Enhance understanding of:
*Invest in Opportunities Act and key aspects related to eligible projects and timing
*Economic parameters expected to be used by typical Opportunity Funds
*Advance-materials needed by investors to evaluate projects and how to create such materials
*”Social Impact Scorecards” and other tools to evaluate and promote social impact
- Learn how LISC is working locally and nationally to leverage equitable Opportunity Zone investments
NOTE: This is a “102-level” training; participants should be familiar with Opportunity Zones going in.
